Hi, I am Mark. A northerner turned eastener out in Lowestoft. For those familiar with David Moody's Haters trilogy it has the town as a post apocalyptic stronghold.
I love the genre- watching movies, reading the fiction and 'living' the experience via the means of Xbox. I am probably most into the zombie thing (pre recent hype) but have loved post apocalypse probably since sneakily watching mad max with my cousin at about 7 years old.
The idea of how it affects individuals for better or worse is really what gets me. I love the psychological edge.
Oh and I am signing up on the brew team. No not the tea. I already make wines, beer and even home pressed cider from locally foraged fruits etc
I even made elderflower champagne in a bucket. I also grow my own fruit and veg and bake; bread cakes pies. You name it. am sure I can be of use come the end of days :-)
Now who has the hobnob supplies...

From rural Victoria, Australia. Long lived love for the John Christopher/Youd books - Tripods, Wrinkle in the Skin, World in Winter and the Wyndham books - triffids, Krakens and Chrysalids. Currently reading the Wool series by Hugh Howey - excellent albeit set in the US. Eyesight is a thing rarely covered in PA books or films. Care to elaborate? Beanpole in the Tripods series was quite short sighted - he started out with some self made glasses and I recall found some in a ruined city on the way to the White Mountains.

Hello, I began really digging into the PA genre after reading The Road. Ever since then I've been on a bit of a binge. I'm very glad to have found this forum.
