Didn't see either but read Noah's Castle which I thought was a bit trite and unfair on the "hoarder" but it didn't make much impact.
If we are dredging for early PA TV/Radio there are few that I dimly remember. One I think was an aftermath of nuclear war called "the Island", possibly had a touch of incest in it which I why I wasn't allowed to watch it all. Then there was an ITV drama that got complaints because it started with what appeared to be a real announcer reporting an object hovering over London.
ITV did some good plays, one was a non-PA about a Frenchman who found he could fly but was taken up by the military and lost the ability until he gave up the concept of using personal flying for warfare but just for fun. He taught his girlfriend and they were last seen flying away together, from, I think, the Eiffel Tower.
