Wow love this forum, my own favourite selection of Brit Pa fiction starts with The Day of the Triffids and the Newer Night of the Triffids.
I liked NO Blade of Grass but prefer a more modern interpretation like There Falls No Shadow by my old mate David C Crossley
I love like most people the original version of Survivors by Terry Nation but hate the TV remake.
One of the absolutely best Brit books is Down To A Sunless Sea by David Graham
I like CRABS by Guy N Smith not forgetting john Christophers 2nd classic A wrinkle in the Skin set in Jersey and of course DELUGE by Richard Doyle.

Down to a Sunless Sea is good and a bit of a let down at the end. aren't there two endings available for the novel though?
