Doomwatch, The Quatermass experiment, Tripods etc is anyone here as old as me and remember those iconic classics?

Liked them. The last Quatermass was in a way the best with the Ley liners on the march but the use of a New Town in 11(?) with the bits falling from space and infesting people was dead spooky when we visited relatives in Harlow New Town, Essex.
Doomwatch was a bit pompous but quite good. Tripods was a bit missed by me but did they ever finish the series?

I honestly cant remember if they finished tripods, but then again my mind is stuck around when William Hartnell was the first Dr Who The Quatermass that scared me most was that one with the alien blob in the nuclear power station.
