Hi guys, I'm new here - nice to meet you all! - and I'm Russian so, as a way of introducing myself, I'd like to include the link to some post-Apocalyptic art by prominent Russian artist Vladimir Manyukhin. Sorry that the page itself is in Russian but as the images are copyright-protected I wasn't sure it was a good idea to copy them into my English-language blog. If you click on the images you'll get bigger versions. nnm.ru/blogs/veteran_00/esli_nastupit_apokalipsis_illyustrator_vladimir_manyuhin/

Spasiba tovarich , I've seen this guys work before, especially the superb image of the trains in Mocba station, his work is similar to another Ruissian artist who drew or painted the iconic survivor sitting against a Lada estate wearing a gas mask and holding a flower. NR

Thanks guys! I think that's the biggest ones as I looked all over the Internet searching for his works. The one with the ruins of the Red Square on it has a funny story to it as apparently a Moscow landscaping company used it to advertise their services without realizing that it was an apocalyptic view!!!! Some promotion of their "landscaping services" it was...

Some intellectually challenged people do like to post comments as in the Mail Online, either to state the obvious or get angry about fiction.
Thanks for the close-up ones. Shame that few PA film-makers get it, all desert wastelands, pourquoi?

Oh wow. Funnily enough, a friend mentioned Manukhin to me this morning, saying, "ah, he's not an artist, just an advanced Photoshop user". But I like his works! I think he has lots of talent. It is indeed! In my other post, I mention author Alex Bobl's blog where his posts illustrations to his PA books which are also all about desert wastelands:

Depends on what has caused the apocalypse I suppose. Most find the image of wrecked buildings 'dramatic'. Personally I find intact buildings with empty streets much more chilling.
However they are created and whatever they show, those pictures are very good though!

Have you heard of the Nuclear missile bunker crew who dreamt that they were operating the firing sequence? When they woke up they found that they were.
