Driving into central london today and it was just a peek into what a hysterical nation we have become. If a petrol station was not already closed, it had cars queueing into the road blocking the rest of the traffic and all for nothing at all.
I think I have finally got a handle on all this 'sheeple' stuff that NR talks about.

Very worrying, a stiff upper lip might be laughed at but its something to be bloody glad of when the shtf. Same way we have had preaching against violence for years and it might be reasonable to say that violence isn't the solution mostly BUT given the right circumstance and I bet a wife/partner would be glad of a man who didn't dissolve into a wimp when faced with a violently challenging situation. Of course to be fair I have contempt for a woman whose man is down on the ground being given a kicking who just screams instead of getting in there with her nails etc.

If a petrol station was not already closed, it had cars queueing into the road blocking the rest of the traffic and all for nothing at all. I think I have finally got a handle on all this 'sheeple' stuff that NR talks about. Aaah sheeple my favourite critters, read of one yesterday filling up soluable plastic bottles with petrol stored in the back of her hatchback, whilst she had kids strapped into the car seats. Read of asian lady filling empty paint tins with petrol set in rows in the boot of her car, My wife had to fill up yesterday and waited patiently in a queue for 20 minutes only to watch open mouthed as the middle aged gent in front struggle to get £7.60 into his tank. Local media reports numerous calls to the police as drivers started fighting, read of petrol station that was rationing everyone to £25 so everyone could have fuel but one lady ignore all signs and all pleas by staff to put £85 into her 4x4. In Oxfordshire people were awaking to find their fuel tanks drained overnight by thieves. Wife reports Ambulances being refused service by jobsworths at service stations As we discussed on our E mail group last night what do you think would be the sheeples response to a remote risk of a food delivery drivers strike !!!! As for me I keep the van full at all time never going under half, so thats 68 litres, inside i carry another 20 litres of treated and stabilised diesel and back home I have both fuels stored in sealed new jerry cans in well ventilated storage. Theres a report knocking about that should the more modern, bohemian, cultured, up market, classy an area is the less food and common sense supplies people keep, EG Leeds city centre near the Royal armouries many of the flat dwellers keep no more than a pint of milk, compared to people outside Leeds keeping 5 litres of milk. the city dwellers utterly reliant on the 24 hour convenience shops that serve the area.

My missus is a better shot than me with a 410 shotgun.

The UK’s fuel delivery system dispenses about 90 million litres of fuel a day at the forecourts. But the nation’s fuel tanks have 20 times that capacity. So if everyone fills up at the same time – even to half full – the system risks collapsing.
So even a rumour of a distant strike can cripple the UKs road system in 24 hours, plan accordingly
