Hello all, This may have had a mention? but deserves it's own topic Another very good PA novel set firmly in the UK .... I Spied a Pale Horse by Mark Timlin. It's not cosy, but a gritty, violent and in my view fairly accurate imagining of a post plague Britain. It comes with an enthusiastic recommendation from me ..........whatever that's worth ;D

Coincidence, I was reading that again last night. Very good read and would like to read the sequel he promised.
Not really a spoiler
Liked the idea that people would get the economy going even in a half-arsed fashion because they didn't want to go back to subsistence farming etc. Then there is the problem in that for when the deep infrastructure fails.

I am a massive Mark Timlin fan and was an avid reader of his Nick Sharman private eye novels set in a South London I grew up and worked in (Edwin, you would love them as they are all set in the Tulse Hill/Brixton environs).
As to the book in question I enjoyed it but I dont think any sequel ever saw the light of day. A shame because there was the potential of a good franchise in them.

Thanks Matthew would be interesting to retrace my juvenile footprints in a thriller. We lived in Elm Park and went to school at Fenstanton then Alleyns for a year until we moved. Where did you live?
