I feel sorry for Bub in Day of the Dead. One of the few zombies to show a hint of self awareness beyond instinctive feeding, and he is treated like something less than an animal. This institutionalized discrimination against zombies has continued to this day, and it needs to stop. This footage from Confused.com clearly shows a cognizant zombie attempting to provide for his family, only to be told that "zombies are excluded from all life insurance policies". This discrimination must stop! Your average Romero shufflers and Boyle-esque sprinters, fair enough, cricket bat to the head. Remember that these rare and sad creatures, however, were people too, once. If we don't speak up for them, who will, since their brain decomposition makes speech nearly impossible?

;D Always imagined what a 'comment' section on th websites of say the Daily Mail and the Guardian might look like in the event of a localised Zombie outbreak that gets contained without to much mayhem. Would people argue for the Zombies human rights ? Would there be a difference between those of a secularist outlook and those with a strong faith ? Would different faiths react in contrasting ways ? For example where would the Christian notion of forgiveness come into play ? Me, I would be very much of the school of thought of wiping them all out and letting God judge me for it come the fateful day we all face but I am kinda of old fashioned about this sort of thing

Go on admit it, some Churches would baptise the lot to maintain numbers on the census. Then you would have to share eternity with them. Or having already risen would they miss judgement day?
