Will be between Bath and Salisbury area 2nd to the 9th of May, London 9th to the 13th.
Any second-hand books shops that are a must visit? Anyone for a pint?
To commemorate returning to visit Old Blighty from the Antipodes I will re-read Hoban's Riddley Walker

Sadly the demise of the second hand bookshop in London is a pitiful tale and there are not many left.
My own recommendation would be to take a stroll along the South Bank between Westminster and Tower Bridge on a Sunday and there is a good sized second hand book market there. Lots of good places to sit and do some people watching along with the National Theatre complex which is worth a visit and which usually has plenty of free events going on and serves good coffee.
If books are your thing then the British Library is worth a visit although you might want to organise access to the actual Library part in advance but it has a great public space along with changing exhibitions. Also a stroll along Charing Cross road which had few good secondhand book shops as well although these are in decline for a variety of reasons. Still enough of the dusty and musty variety to make it worth while.
Sadly having to work nights over the time period you are here otherwise would love to have come up to town for a chin wag but I do hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping to get to Kelvendon bunker but we'll see how we go for time. Overal having a great time in Wiltshire currently, the hedgerows are lovely at this time. I have also been able to work my way through quite a few ciders. More to go.
