How are you watching it? I have it as starting on Sky on the 12th of September.

I got it via bit.torrent sites. And it was well worth it, getting better as it went on with a good twist at the end.

Yuk. Didn't much care for it at all. A lot of Cold War-ish rhetoric & villains. Way too much American exceptionalism for my taste. We've had the whole thing here in the States but I'm a bit behind watching the things I've taped.....All that said, I've no illusions whatsoever about how people would behave but Russians and Cubans as the bad guys? Not an accident. Of course I suppose it could be worse, ISILL could have invaded Cuba.....

It makes no bones about its whole 'As American as Apple Pie' ethos but carry on with it because things do take a twist. I don't want to spoil it for you but it sets itself up for a second series in a clever way.

I've seen the first 3 episodes so far and I'm quite enjoying it. It's well made and has the right mix of action and tension. However, it does deviate massively from the book, so try that if you want something similar but different, if you know what I mean. The main things are that the book features an all male crew and the disaster is a nuclear war rather than a virus, but I guess both of those things were changed in the TV series to be more 'realistic' and add some more opportunities for plot development. The book is great but couldn't really be stretched to 10 or more episodes (and probably not a second series) if followed faithfully.
