Reading volume 4 of Mountain Man and its even more violent and yucky. Don't get it, the feral war band would have a half life of about six months. Even the most violent ruler of the past might have kept killing people but that soon became a Royal monopoly which it would have to be for any new post PA group to continue to exist. Then, looting and killing the productive members of the new society would be very short term, exacting tribute is different. And, it gets boring.
