Curious if anyone's still here:) And if you'd be interested in trading stories about how things are where you are. To get the ball rolling, I'd say that here in upstate NY (REALLY upstate, not Westchester:)on the border with Canada and Vermont-we seem very very lucky indeed. The area is largely agricultural, with access to Burlington Vt. for culture vultures and exceedingly fine medical care. During the first weeks of the pandemic, some of the stores got a bit picked over, and while everything is not available everywhere, we thankfully have all the toilet paper we can use. Being an agricultural area, we are not short of meat, eggs, etc. An enterprising entrepreneur who had a corner store about a half mile from us has opened up a meat counter with outstanding stuff-unfortunately he does not post a request on the door nor require masks for patrons or employees so we will not be shopping there anymore. I can speak to the quality of the medical care after an annoying but not fatal heart rhythmn problem-spent 3 days being observed at a hospital before they decided, yup, it's still beating ok. Not once did I ever feel insecure about covid exposure because things were so well organized. I've been passing the time with Acorn Tv on the cable, which proports to be the best in British tv-it's at least different, reading more books than I thought possible and making a Walking Dead themed quilt-yeah, I can hear you all the way over here saying I must be a sick puppy for that one:) Also deciding to take an idea from Ayra in GOT (Not Today, Death) by binging thru my old Survivors dvds. Last year at my uncle's wake in NJ i envied that part of the family their ability to have ice cream or take-out Thai
