A thought struck me while answering on the "what got you started thread". Probably not original:
Future and past are the same and we live in a bubble travelliing along a time wave while reality stays still.

Thats a bit heavy for me Edwin The only thing that does make me wonder 'what if' is the whole theory of parallel universes. Which means that there is a post apoc Britain that we have all, and might still be, living in. In fact more than one. A world in which the 1919 Spanish flu outbreak killed billions. A world in which Hitler dropped A bombs on London. And so on and on and on. Which cheers me up immensley when I am stuck in yet another traffic jam and all and sundry are nagging me and I just think that in another world I am leading my rag tag band of survivors and am driving a vehicle with the heads of my enemies on poles at the front. Happy days ;D

2 favorite "what if" books. '48 Fatherland (not apoc) sorry went abit off subject here Both good books especially '48 which I dont think gets the post apoc kudos its due. I also think that the third book in his 'Rats' triology (Domain) is another that needs to be thought of as a post apoc novel.
